About Us
We operate a 120 place centre with eight specially designed rooms to cater for ages of six weeks to six years old.
Our Educators are committed to providing loving, positive, warm, family-like environments, and who develop genuine friendships with the children. We have developed play-based programs to cater to each child’s individual needs and interests, which are based on the Australian Early Learning Years Framework and our centre’s philosophy.

As Early Childhood educators, we know the importance of inculcating healthy mindsets in children. To achieve this, we have a range of programs and activities for the children:
We have an established kitchen garden, where the children help to plant, care for and harvest the produce each season.
We have two large outdoor play spaces designed to be natural and earthy, where we encourage “messy” play, physical activity and lots of hands-on nature-inspired learning.
The children can interact with several pets and for which they help to care. We believe that animals help to instil responsibility and caring within young ones.
We have developed strong connections with a local Aged Care Facility, whose residents visit our centre regularly. They love their time with the children and find it difficult to leave.
The centre has a free fortnightly sports program called Little sports heroes.
We have been a part of the local community since 2009, and pride ourselves in being one of the longest standing early childhood services. We also pride ourselves on the team environment that we have developed and maintained over the years, and do not merely see one another as a co-worker but rather as family. The majority of our wonderful and highly experienced educators have worked at Smiling Children for five years or more. We are an established team who enjoy each other’s company and love to work alongside one another. We support each other and guide each other and act as caring mentors.
